Our Process
Estimate and Design Consultation
We begin by reviewing your needs through photos or an in-person consultation. You’ll receive a detailed estimate and meet with our design team to pick material options — including color, texture, and stitching choices to match or upgrade your current setup.
Material Selection
We use only marine-grade vinyls, fabrics, and foam, chosen for durability, comfort, and resistance to UV, mildew, and moisture. Whether you want to match your factory look or design something custom, we’ve got you covered.
Precision Patterning and Removal
Each upholstery project starts with careful disassembly of the old material and creation of custom-fit patterns for your seats, pads, or panels — ensuring a flawless, snug fit.
Custom Upholstery and Stitching
Using industrial sewing machines and reinforced seams, we create long-lasting, weather-ready covers that look and feel factory-fresh. Options include diamond stitching, piping, custom logos, and more.
Reinstallation and Final Inspection
We reinstall every piece with care, checking for proper fit, comfort, and finish.

We love our clients and they love us. See for yourself.
Frequently Asked Boat Upholstery Questions:
Do you offer custom designs or just factory replacements?
We can match factory designs or create custom styles — including stitching patterns, color schemes, and embroidered logos.
Is the foam replaced too, or just the vinyl?
Both! If your foam is worn or misshapen, we’ll replace it with high-density marine-grade foam for long-term comfort and durability which is an added expense.
How long does the upholstery process take?
Most boat cushion replacements take a few weeks to complete between material selection from the customer, ordering, removal of current cushions, creation and installation.
Do you use marine-grade materials?
Yes — all fabrics, vinyls, and foam are selected specifically for marine use, with built-in resistance to UV, mold, mildew, and saltwater.
Is your service mobile?
Absolutely. We bring our tools and materials to you — whether you’re at a private dock, marina, or storage yard.
What is the best time of year to do a replacement?
If it’s a full replacement, we recommend booking for the fall or winter. If it’s just a cushion or two, anytime throughout the year is fine but our later winter to early summer months are the busiest.
What is the average cost for boat upholstery?
Each individual boat seat cushion cost to replace is estimated based on the complexity of the cushion, the size of the cushion and the design elements of the cushion to replicate. With that being said, a non complex cushion such as a square cooler seat cushion may only cost $200 while a more complex cushion such as a large bow seat cushion may cost approximately $750 to replace.
If you desire to have your gel coat or fiberglass repair be virtually invisible as if it never happened and you don’t have the hours or even days to invest in such a project and if you don’t want the stress of learning what to buy, how to use it, under what conditions and on what surfaces then you should just call us. We have the best craftsmen and artists in the Charleston area who make their mark on fiberglass boat repairs.
